Description:
Glass beads are spherical abrasive, manufactured from chemically inert soda-lime glass. They are used for cleaning, finishing, light peening, deburring, sanitizing, descaling, coating removal, polishing, and surface blending.
It produces a right satin finish. Finer beads produce a smoother nonglare finish, while larger beads produce a deeper textured finish. Blasting with glass beads do not produce any dimension changes to the part base surface.
Application:
- Cleaning
- Surface Finishing & Sanitizing of Metallic Parts on Stainless Steel, Food Processing Equipment, Medical Instruments.
- Shot Peening of Aircraft Engine Blades, Turbine Rotors, Gears, Shafts, Steam & Gas Turbine Components.
- Deburring & Surface Blending of Gears, Turbocharger Parts, Ferrous & Non-ferrous Fabrications.
